Žminj - Traditional monthly fair

10.12.2008. 00:07 - 17:00Žminj

Žminj - Traditional monthly fairThe traditional monthly fair which takes place every third Wednesday in this vivacious town, is the biggest fair in the central Istrian area after the one held in Pazin.

There are lots of stands which are placed along the whole street that stretches from the new market of Žminj to the school and all around them many people looking to buy clothes, tools, toys, fruits etc.

Although there is just a small number of sellers of Istrian souvenirs and traditional tools present, mainly smiths and carpenters, yet they give a special mark to the fair, showing the buyers and among them also the tourists, which recently started to discover even more such type of town-fairs, at least one small part of what has remained from the typical manufacture products.

The fair of Žminj, compared to other inland fairs, is very special because it is the only place where people can still find the livestock fair.
