One of the traditional events with the longest tradition is Labinske konti, festival of traditional Istrian folk music and dances of the area around Labin known as Labinština – a real treat for all folklore lovers. On the last Saturday in July in Dubrova near Labin folk singers, dancers in folk costumes, entertainers and players on typical local instruments: meh, sopele, dvojnice and other instruments bear witness to the preservation of traditional folklore of this area.

David Guetta - a French house producer and DJ is a guest of Byblos! He has worked with a variety of pop and hip-hop artists including Britney Spears, Akon, Chris Willis, Kelly Rowland, Lil' Wayne, Kelis, Madonna, Kid Cudi, Estelle, Fergie, Amy Palmer, K'naan, will.i.am, LMFAO, Dane Bowers, Flo Rida and Shakira.

Throughout this festival Fažana generously presents its glittering jewellery to the sea... Together with the waterfront, all streets are joined together in the joy of light! Candles, lights, lanterns... are all linked in a special way by the illumination of fishing boats and the sea, adding their lights and lanterns to the reflection of the glittering stars.
Music accompanies this festival of light, in this case street musicians, soloists and small music groups. In such an atmosphere Fažana truly resembles the blue and silver luminous nuances of its symbol, the swift pilchard.

There are a handful of men who have the title of Godfather of House. While many have legitimate claims to the title because of seniority and being there at the beginning, one stands out from the crowd as being the one that defined House music, and indeed dance music as we know it today. His name is Marshall Jefferson. In 1986 he played piano on a House record for the first time ever. The idea was so innovative that record companies told him that it wasn't even house music. That record was the platinum House Music Anthem, and today you rarely hear a house record without piano.
