Montserrat Caballé is a Spanish operatic soprano. Although she sang a wide variety of roles, she is best known as an exponent of the bel canto repertoire, notably the works of Rossini, Bellini, Donizetti and Verdi. Caballé has recorded extensively throughout her long career and has made many notable recordings of complete operas as well as recital albums, most notably on the RCA Red Seal label. Caballé is known affectionately in the opera world as La Superba, a sign that she has reached the status of diva.

In a very short time, the festival has established itself as one of the most interesting events in the region which attracts numerous dance artists, pedagogues, experts, critics and, best of all, a surprisingly numerous and faithful audience. The eclecticism of its program in the last ten years reflected the desire of the organizers to present a wide range of contemporary research into the field of body expression: from conceptual ideas of its pure existence, powerful emotional breakthroughs of dance theatre, exposing of the hidden body imagery, connection of dance with ritual and spiritual practices, to the virtuosity and playfulness of new circus forms.

14th Motovun Film Festival is scheduled to take place July 25 - 29.
In co-operation with the British Independent Cinema Office and film professionals from leading festivals in Europe, Motovun Film Festival is organizing a workshop in film festival production, to be held July 21 - 26, 2011.
